We have flat level parking; clean gravel drive and you can park right next to the house. Up to four cars, no problem.

Damage deposit is for any damage beyond normal wear and tear, any negligence, spills tears broken items. Including but not limited to, damage to the stairs due to rolling suitcases, they must be carried, scratches on the floor due to relocated furniture or stones in shoes, Towels and linens damaged by bleaching chemicals are not considered wear and tear. Water damage anywhere in the house due to neglect or not cleaning up after yourselves. 

Children love Bärkada cabin but just like at your home you’re responsible for keeping them out of trouble. The house is not childproof, so guests have to assume the risk for any children that accompany them.

Combination to the smart lock and the alarm system will be provided to each guest before arrival. House rules and any notes in the house should be reviewed. House should be inspected for any damage or anything out of place and photos taken and sent to the owner within the first two hours of Check in. The number of guests will be monitored by video, yes not specifically on the reservation will be a violation of the rental agreement and subject to Eviction. 

We’re almost always available from 8 AM to 6 PM to answer any questions before entering this day. Feel free to reach out to us for recommendations on what to do and how to operate anything in the cabin.

Full kitchen with all first-rate appliances utensils plates cups glasses serving bowls baking trays frying pans, not your typical rental grade stuff here, where the owners stay whenever it’s not rented and we love to cook, we hope you take advantage of it too.

Quiet secluded neighborhood on Mount Trammell, you won’t notice the neighbors or see any traffic. 

Please do not exceed the number of people in your booking or you will be asked to leave with no refund. County ordinances limit capacity to no more than 10 overnight (STRICTLY ENFORFORCED).

Located on a ridge near the summit of Trammel Mountain, Blue Ridge , Georgia, Barkada Cabin Short Term Rental enjoys a spectacular long-range view that includes the undeveloped Rich Mountain Wildlife Wilderness area. Barkada Cabin's sloping backyard is walkable and kept natural with tall grass and small underbrush. You can blaze a trail down the ridge but beware of the thorny foliage that is razor sharp. The seldom traveled roads and undeveloped lots in Cohutta Farms (aka "The Last Resort")are your best bet for hiking.  The level area on the street side provides a fire pit with seating (Bring your own wood and lighter fluid). Roads in the subdivision are packed gravel with little traffic and great for walking / hiking / mountain biking. There are many trails and roads with no homes built to explore. For a flat, level, one-of-a-kind hike, drive down to the bottom of the mountain to the train tracks that cross Maxwell Road near 515 (and a cell tower), park and walk along the tracks for a super hike.

We have three security cameras, none of which have a view of any of the living areas. One is the ring doorbell, the other has a view of the driveway and the other is looking out on the backyard.

Like we said, child friendly yes, child proof no. Broken And damaged items (Beyond normal wear and tear)will be deducted from security deposit.

We love animals but unfortunately due to allergies and the fact that we live there part-time, we are only able to accommodate small non-shedding breeds under 20lbs on a case by case basis. Contact us with a pet photo for pre-approval.

Sorry, no events or parties. Daytime visitors ok with pre-approval but no overnight guests. 

This is a big NO anywhere on the property. Owners are extremely sensitive and allergic to smoke and much of the year our area is a high fire risk area so smoking outdoors is a no-no. 

We are wheelchair friendly, meaning once you get up the first three steps onto the entrance porch the entire first floor is wheelchair accessible including both porches, one master bedroom kitchen dining family room and bathroom. No door is smaller than 32 inches.

Five smart TVs throughout, the game room offers a 75" with Dolby surround and 65 inch smart TV's in the 2 master bedrooms! Some streaming services are available but feel free to bring your own logins. High-speed Internet (300mbps) provided by underground fiber optic, high end wireless router have plenty of bandwidth for just about anything. While we discourage working on vacation, if you need to you’ll have great access and be able to conduct video calls no problem. A laser printer is available for your use. Look for it on the Network. 

In 2022, with the rising prices of resale cabins we decided to build. We designed and built a custom modern cabin as a second home to represent what we would want to rent. With a design-build background and , using our trusted resources plus undertaking much of the work ourselves. We hope you enjoy our home as much as our family does!
